Question from left field---what about camping for spectators.?  I have some guys that want to come and have a look and camp over. Any idea what that will cost and where they will be sited ?

here's the link Vaughan,
http://www.qldmotopark.com.au/
our camping/pit area will be full with competitors, so spectators wishing to camp will need to camp just outside our area more than likely at/around moto-park prices.
there will be a 6 meter wide spectator strip full length of the start straight that will provide good views of the majority of the track

There will be camping for spectators and it is the same cost as everyone else. There is also a spectators fee of $5.00 per person per day.
In regards to the camping pit if you are not camping onsite you will be allocated a space which is in the camping pits to park your bikes. You will not be able to move your car in and out of the pits during the event as there is limited access for vehicles.

Walter if i was you i would get you bike scruitineered early as ya can then put up ya tent etc in the spot where you want to be for the duration.

Even if you stick up ya  flags and leave some milcrate or something up overnight.  As im led to belive you get a bay and that is your pit/ camping spot/  if its empty its open territiory !

there will be enought people staying there to watch ya stuff.

150 entries, three days to go. It will be necessary to combine with other riders in each pit space where possible, as space will be at a premium. A suggestion is to use the marked out space as your pit (together with other riders,) and camp in the "overflow area".Several advantages ( it's just as close to the action) and it will be quieter, you can come and go in the car, less dust etc. Those not camping MUST share with others in the pit area.

Surfers is the tourist trap within the Gold Coast area. Southport is a business/residential area 10 min North of Surfers (my factory is in Southport so you can tell it's upper class.)
To the East is beach, ocean and NZ, and to the West rainforest, mountains, hinterland, and Wyaralong and eventually Perth.

Col why is the pit area so limited? There is so much vacant area opposite the track.
