I tossed up as to whether I should re-anodize my tank the original red but decided that because it'd flawlessly been repaired by GMC I was told by a number of different people, including my usual anodizer that the different alloy content of the weld material could cause the anodizing to show up a slightly different colour where it had been repaired. I went for the polished look instead.
Because the tank is as rare as shite I couldn't stand it being damaged so for racing I'm going to use a fibreglass BSA B44GP replica tank (
currently being lined and methanol proofed by Matcho Mick Jones) which I've decided to paint candy apple red to match as close as possible the original anodized red.
I prefer my seat over that on the red Triumph. It's a bit like me....too fat
