Graeme, your RM has come some way since I last saw it. Looks even nicer now! On the subject of Dave Miller, Daves RM125B from 1977 shows his great styling flair even back then. Early 70's style paintwork, Yamaha guards and black rims which a lot of people say didn't exist back in the day, these photos prove they surely did Only thing I don't like about Dave's RM you've pictured is many (not everyone) refer to as an RH125 replica, RH125's never existed they were all RA125's as the last pic shows.

theres something 'right' about black rims on a Suzuki and thanks for posting that as it stops the next black rim debate in its tracks.

I still have my original ts185 power 125S, was going to convert it back but instead have NOS  Bassani high pipe and will just tidy up my youthful conversion.....maybe with black rims

Thanks Doc, yes the little RM is looking good these days. I might have to give the engine cases and tank a spruce up over Christmas though!

Now if I were a rich bastard, I reckon I'd have a nice 125B, 250B and 370B to go with it. Mind you, just because I like light little bikes with downpipes, I'd have a 77 CR125 as well. Love those things too.

What has Dave Miller used for backing plates ?, were there trick factory kit Titanium hubs for the 125 as there was for the 250.

No, I'll probably stick with it, although I might retire it next year or the year after.

mArc, I think theres a bit of fancy lathe work and some flash painting going on with Dave's bike.....love it...I had a RM125S back in the day....awesome little bike that handled like a dream after riding a MX250A for a year...as much as a downpipe bike cops a hammering underneath, there's something cool about them.....I have filled that order though, bought a 1976 TM75 recintely, all original and mint.

Marc, I believe the hubs are just painted with the spoke area simply unpainted..I did the same to my RM years ago but at the time I never realised it was a visual rip off of the RN's which used pressed on reinforcing rings due to RD ripping spokes from the hubs

Cool look just shows what a little imagination beyond spraying the whole lot black will do. Have set of TM400 wheels to build up, may go same way.
