It's a bit like the 80's Rodney King or 60's Watts riots in Los Angeles. The one plus from it will be that some of those drab suburban London High streets will now have to get a makeover.

You know Aussie Police get a bum rap a lot of the time but can't imagine them standing around being all PC while that shit goes on. Tear gas the little pricks and put the dogs on em.
"Victorian Police" and "fatal shooting" are phrases that spring to mind.

I always wonder why the victims never have any gunshot wounds to their legs or other extremities.

Just like the Ron Levy case where he ran into the surf to try avoid the armed police - they couldn't let him drown so they shot and killed him instead.

Not having a go at the average copper [I have quite a few mates in the force], but it is strange how these kind of things happen.  ???
When a woman says "What?", it's not because she didn't hear you, she's giving you the chance to chance to change what you said.

I don't know Luke, better marksmanship training, introduction of 9mm autos or pepper spraying them first which lets you get your shots off at closer range. 8) The dead beat the NZ police recently shot in Opunake was cock on .... straight through the gourd.

Anyway I can never buy the story the rioters are outraged at Police shooting in London or LA..... shit anyone who has ever been in London will tell you they shoot and stab each other with nightly regularity and don't seem too bothered. ::)

More power to our Police I say.
How many times do you see the boy's in blue copping gobbfulls from arrogant young males, mainly from an Arabic background and they are reluctant to respond because the Magistrates let the little arseholes off.
On top of that the parents come out saying, " But he's a good boy ", Mrs Skaff said those very words.
Lay down with dog's and you'll get flees, if a cop was pointing his gun at me I'd be on the deck pronto.

Should be aiming for centre of mass and keep firing till threat goes down, the 9mm is a pissy round with not of lot of retained energy, coppers who end up shooting someone in the leg have poor trigger control ie snatching on the trigger hence pulling the shot down

When they first got the 9mm they had a training day at the local range for coppers only.
That's exactly what happened  ;D
