Bitten, if the price you are talking includes new springs front and rear, then i would say that it is a fair price. figure around $160-180 each end for springs, then i think it would be not too bad considering. I had a friend call them just this week, and they quoted around $250 for a XR250 shock service only. You have to remember that a lot of our old bikes have had a hard life, many are approaching 40 years old if not more, and shock bodies, shafts, seal heads etc wear and can sometimes be a real pain in the ass even to get apart. i have had to resort to using components from different manafacturers, and machining pistons, bodies etc to take them when bits are nla, or things are that worn they are u/s.
