They are pre 75 legal ;)
six speed gearbox, best of all it has the splined drive shaft for the sprocket instead of the tapered shaft design, 1st gears a little low but 2nd to 6th is pretty much the same as a 5 speed cr box. Put a GEM reed valve on it with a 38mm Mikuni and it hauls arse. I changed the ignition to a motoplat instead of the  heavy femsa points ignition, you have to change the crank end to do this. I also had Frank Stanborough re phase the crank balance on mine as well, its much smoother through the rev range now.

Thanks for that info I was exactly the same as JohnyO could not see why they wouldn't be as they just seem to be a continuation of the 74 model

Should be good value Barry, especially for the rest of us Husky owners howling with glee as you kick your way to apoplexy after dumping sh1t on us for years... ;D

Looking forward to eyeballing it mate. ;)

Your MK chassis designation will get through as a follow-on from 1974, if your 1975 2048-numbered engine is visually compatible with the 1974 2038 series you should be laughing.

My assumption is  ??? ???.......Re-phase will mean change the balance do the heavy spot is at a different phase angle to before. The factory would never have balanced them (too costly) so its the luck of the draw what level of vibration you have on any particular bike due to the manufacturing tolerances. on the crank and flywheel etc. Sounds like Frank go Pete's bike to rum smoother.
