picked up an engine tonight the price was right complete with ignition and carby i know its a 400 engine prefix is 501 can someone  tell me what model its out of thanks chris

sorry but i fu---ed up  ??? no is 510 has no oil pump i noticed ::)

510 is MX400 B . The 250 was 509.

Mmmmm, MX400. Sounds like a project, Chris!

Parts...... Do you have a piston and rings for one std size ?  also after a barrell or sleeve

510-0***** is 1975 MX400B
510-1***** is 1976 YZ400C
510-2***** is 1976 IT400C

The YZ-C (510-1*****) and IT-C (510-2*****) frames are identical, but the MX-B (510-0****) frame is very slightly different.

All geometry etc is the same, but the MX-B only has one muffler mounting point on the rear frame loop, YZ-C and IT-C have two mounting points.

Then it's an IT400C motor - same as YZ-C but wide ratio gearbox and lighting coil.
