well mx 250 a deceased mate had a part longer than 3 seconds in it.ron hurdis of hrd sidecars and a couple of race mates are in the open shoots filmed at amaroo dirt track.

I was at Amaroo for that sidecar scene. What was suppose to happen was the camera would pan from an MX race to an altercation on the side of the track between Ben Murphy and one of the other characters. I was one of the MX'ers in the background racing scene.
The only problem was that Ben Murphy couldn't remember or string together more then two words at a time . So we did the shot time and time again. We had a great old time and had bit of an insight into the film industry. (The stars are not as clever, smart, sophisticated or as debonaire as they would like you to think. They need a good script writer to look smart and make up, a good camera angle and multiple takes to look debonaire
).
The sidecars were props for the scene with the sidecar boys lounging around the sidecars watching the two characters punch it out. Ron was undoubtedly one of those 'lounging'.
