Here's a cool Goldy that actually sees racing action. My UK friend Ben (Flower Pot Racing on this forum) races this cool original period Goldy.

With air filter  ;D.

Absolutely superb  8). Absolutely Kool 8).

Yeah, it's a Cheney...I forgot to put that in for some reason. I love the look of that bike and Cheneys in general.

Airbox is real statement, might have to do that with my Honda Cheney as carb is roughly same spot, really fell in love with my BSA Cheney once I started assembling it and found it was really nicely made.

Very COOL 223 ,have you every postioned the front guard up higher..we looked at our front guard on the Sprite- low -high-low and choose the high.
I think the high postion makes them look like they have more grunt  ;D
What year is it and do you race it ??
cheers A

This is South Aussie John Shwartz on his Cheney DBD34 Goldy, similar to Bens. John had a severe stroke while competing on this bike at the Barrabool Nats and nearly died seconds after I took the 'airtime' photo.
After lengty rehab he's back living a normal life again. His son is Paris Dakar rider David Shwartz, former team mate to Andy C.

Back on focus....here's my mate Bob Neilsons Sonic framed BSA Gold Star dirt tracker. Bob sadly died last month leaving behind one of Americas best aftermarket framed dirtbike collections.

Hi 223....I have a Cotton frame similar to your Tri/Cotton and a Triumph 500 engine looking for a frame to live in. Do you have any problems with frame breakages on the Cotton? They're very light and to me look a little flimsy to handle the weight and power of the Triumph engine. The engine fits nicely I must admit though, much easier than the Sprite and Hindall frames I've tried to fit it to. As soon as I can sort out a camera download problem I'll post some photos.

Hi firko,
only a break on the top rear engine mounting in 6 years of races...the cotton is fairly light  #118 kg (262Lbs ?)
with oils and 5 liters of petrol, i run on 50%avg50%unl.
Hi vmx247
in Italy clubs are all "all era" , with peoples responsible for "Vintage mx", "Vintage road", "Modern Touring" ecc ecc..
...sorry for my poor english :-[
