Of course members should still be able to edit posts.  ;D

They may decide to delete ALL the content of the post and leave it blank, but at least others will know that something was posted initially.  ;)

Totally agree re deleting post  ::) only moderators should be able to delete post.

I dont know how feasable it is to stop the multiple ideniteys  but it would be good if it could be done .

When all said and done Graeme provides this great site and forum for us at no charge and its up to us the members not to be a pain in the arse and treat the forum with respect .

People don't realise how easy it is for an Admin to tell who is using a fake identity.  If Graeme really wanted to, he could name & shame the people doing it.  Your IP address doesn't change when you switch to your fake user, and unless you happen to have someone else who is suddenly very interested in VMX behind your firewall, you're very easily identifiable.  In every single post you'll notice that your IP is logged.  If you could be arsed, you could create, then post using your fake ID via anonymous proxies and bounce your messages through a few more routers, but I doubt many on here would go to that sort of trouble.

I had an overly concerned once-off poster appear after I posted a link to some bikes being loaded into a container in the UK on this forum.  This user appeared, then disappeared just as quickly.  The let me say, 'spartan' writing style of our concerned VMX enthusiast, and the subject matter made it very easy to tell who it was.  Even more laughable, his alias made a comeback recently to big note his real self after clearing certain jumps at a certain race meeting....  ::)  Some serious love for oneself there.

If you're not willing to say something when you're identifiable, then don't say it at all!  Go play World of Warcraft or something.

Yes I have a chuckle at the two name members on my forum, me knowing who they are and them thinking no one knows    ;D  :D  but they dont stir up anything so It does not bother me really.

Cheers Mick.

Doesn't matter which e-mail address you use to create the account, it's the computer you're using when you log in to the forum to post.  So if you're going to do it, drive over to your local internet cafe or library and start your anonymous posting from there!

Confession Time.  I am a serial editor of my posts. 99.8 % of the time this is to rectify spelling and grammatical erratum . I  do so as I strongly believe the basic idea of others being able to comprehend what waffling bullshit I be spouting. :D Tim754
Threatening or insulting PM's?  Just cut and past the "entire unretouched"  crap to a thread, I mean the senders must relies they have produced a verifiable document.  ;)
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Hey Tim,
I don't think anybody is talking about EDITING your posts. If you stuff up and include typos, or just don't explain yourself as you would wish, then no problem. Fix it!

It is different when somebody drops a trail of bile ridden expletives, leaves them there for a few minutes and then magically removes them and claims that they never existed.

Accuracy is never a problem.

I'm back!!

Sorry about that. I've been waiting up at Bluerock all week for (whoever that guy is from NZ)'s brother to deliver the two uppercuts to me.
Nothing happened??!!  ???

Anywho I've decided to take a bit more pro-active approach on The Forum and not shirk away from the pressing issues so........

1. I've signed up down at Dunkin' Donuts.

2. I've put together a list of reasons why I can't race (sore knee/back/menopause/I'm scared, etc)

3. You boys are totally right. I've been wasting my time on these Montesa's. I need a real popular bike like a Sprite or BSA Bantam or something with an engine out of one bike that was good and put it into another frame and cut and weld and frig arse around untill it ends up as something that's slower and worse handling that what I started out with.

4. I'm going to council people who are feeling a little suicidal. How could giving advice to someone who's ready to top themselves be any different to advising someone who's jetting's a bit out of wack or their front end's plough a bit in the corners? ;)

5. Whenever I'm a bit pissed off with someone I'm gunna threaten' them by sending a family member over to beat them to a pulp (yes cut and pasted safely away by myself and some friends you idiot!)

Yes Sir....

I'm back
I'm wearin' black
My bladder's slack
I'm havin' a Good 'ol Boy
Heart attack

Ha, ha, ha, ha, haaa, ha, haaaaaaaaaa...................
