I got a phonecall from a mate late yesterday arvo telling me to turn the telly on straight away and dial in the 'Fuel' channel.
Having done that I found that I was watching a repeat of episode 2 of this seasons MXTV, the episode with Macca's interview with the now departed from this forum Ross Nimmo.  Macca was in his usual smooth, Bert Newton like personna asking general questions regarding Mr Nimmo's Montesa collection when towards the end of the segment he threw in the bravest bit of television journalism since Elle McFeast interviewed a pissed Chopper Read.  Macca: Now Ross, I've done some research and I've found that Montesas are supposed to be very, very unreliable. I instantly sat on the edge of my seat and fumbled with the hand control to turn up the sound in anticipation of either Macca copping a punch on the chin, or more likely, a rant that'd probably blame Macca's impertinent question on him being a member of the good 'ol boy evil empire that had made Mr Nimmos life such hell for the last few years. Sadly, I was disappointed. Other than Mr Nimmos voice going up an octave, his face getting tad redder and the smile quickly disappearing from his face, nothing much happened. It seems that it's easier to defend perceived Montesa insults by chucking a hissy fit online than to do it in front of a national TV audience. Funny that.

I've sat on the sidelines watching this thread and purposefully kept out of it, and in reality should continue to do so, but....

The thread was pulled for whatever reasons (I won’t buy into the how, what &  when) yet it continues to be bought to the attention of the forum members at will to discredit certain individuals. Ross is as thick skinned as any one I have come across, will help anyone at the drop of the hat, yet the barrage continues. Light hearted banter is one thing, but this continual posting is getting beyond what I think is fair game.

What happened in the past is just that, in the past. Please, enough is enough.

Go back and have a read at who started the shit Bahnsy. I think many of us have been on the receiving end of his crap for way too long and after personally copping serves from him for years with little or no provocation I don't think a little light hearted fun at his expense is out of place. If you'd ever have been on the receiving end of his rants you'd feel the same.

Ross com back , dont let the bullies get to you .

Sorry Walter,
But as the target of the last of his abusive and foul mouthed rants, I have to disagree with you as to who the bully was. It was one way traffic, and completely uncalled for. And then to delete the posts and act like they never existed was pretty lame.

But like you, I have only ever found VMXers to be great people, that is why is abuse was so unexpected, and probably why I dug my heels in to defend myself. Can't say I have seen many gross overreactions of that nature it on this site. I could have just encountered him on a bad day, and I would be more than happy to meet him for a beer anytime. But I might not mentions Montesas.  ;)

As for your preference for that style of abusive posting instead of Suzuki footpegs - I would prefer somewhere in the middle.

Give me a break Walter. You've either let Ross's being a customer taint your outlook or you've been overlooking his posts. All things 414 is the main bully on this forum and has been for a long time. His continual jabs at me, the so called GOBs or anyone he disagreed with were uncalled for. For f*ck sake, we all disagree with this or that on the forum but most of us can debate the subject without bursting into a hissy fit. I'd had enough of being the fodder for his crap so I went on a different tack and tried being nice to him and be cordial and friendly. Unfortunately it didn't work so in the end I just ignored his rudeness. This last thread where he laid the slipper into VMX42 for no reason other than not sharing his view on Montesas downfall was boorish and uncalled for.

Hey Walter,
I was only talking about the posts directed at me, and putting the record straight as to who was bullying who [your words not mine]. But IMHO, there is no place for that kind of personal attack on this site - go back and read the posts and tell me what you would have said?

I would have thought it more appropriate, that senior members of this forum should have called him on the foul language and told him that he had gone too far and to pull his head in. If I used that language on this forum, I would hope somebody would pull me up and tell me I was being a knob.

I have absolutely no doubt there is more to the man than that, and that over a hot cuppa there would be no problem. I was only reacting to this single issue and when we meet I hope we can have a laugh about it.

And for the record [and for hopefully the last time], I never said Montesas were crap… which make the whole thing even stranger.

Best probably to give it all a rest  learn from it and let the wounds heal.

Sorry to add to this but I think its wise to explain my position on this 'gentleman'.
I have throughout my life detested bullying, which is exactly what this guy has been doing for far too long.
Unfortunately I provoked him,but I stand by my comments, and would welcome a 'friendly' discussion with Ross sometime in the future.

But the facts remain the same, the guy is a cyber bully.

Finito on this subject for me.

Come guys, get a grip. Whatever the differences I haven't seen anything I would faintly call 'bullying' ::).

But it's a democracy; people come and go as they please for reasons that please them.
