Check this out, bloody interesting
You'll like this Alison, if you haven't already stummbled across it, a brief but accurate history.
The Nippon Speedway footage is a classic, they are still riding twins but what are they.

This thread is awesome.  I'm well connected with Glasgow Speedway to this day and I used to watch the Tigers every week at Craighead Park & Shawfield stadium later on.  Great to see a pic of Steve Lawson in there.  His son Simon was a very promising motocrosser until he was paralysed back in 01.

Glasgow had heaps of Aussies.  Shane Bowes is the one that I've seen most of, but Mick Powell, Jason Lyons & more recently Shane Parker have all ridden there successfully.

Wonder how many of them are floating around in Japan, I'd love to get one.
I reckon they should rename their Speedway the Hot Shoe Shuffle.

I've had a bit more of a search and there is very little info on this engine.
It looks like its purpose built with no gearbox, I'm intrigued.
Any members living in the land of Nippon?

You can cram in about 100 houses on a speedway venue/track  :'(
Best is in the West !!

Sadly Alison that's exactly the same scenario as Liverpool Speedway here in Syd, I'm sure there are heaps more.
Sign of the tomes and urban sprawl.

I think the record for a UK league team is all but one rider where all aussie. infact it may even be all but depending on guest riders  :-\
