sounds a bit like me - "went soft in 2 laps"  ;D  Did you mean "behind" with regards the brake?  Cracking frames is a worry though?

Sounds like you CMD-'looks different',but I am afraid you definitely are not way cool!
Dont know how you heard the RM500 suspension was crap,by all the literature I have read, the full floater was the best of all time.
Then again, since when did you know anything Rossco  ;)

I heard that the Zook had shit suspension,

Rossco

Oh no, the Suzuki had the best out there with the Full Floater and 43mm forks that were as good as any conventional forks produced and better than most. Kawasaki as mentioned was pretty bad normally due to weird springs and falling rate design, early Pro llnk was abysmal but came right with the RC 480, no idea what Yamaha were trying to do, half dump the Monocross for something worse.

Craigy - I shall treat your comment with the contempt it deserves as most normal people don't listen to you anyway.  Now I actually can't remember where I saw it or heard it but yes around 82 the Full Floater was by far the best but come 1984 the others had caught up and in particular the 500 was the worst because so little development had gone into it - sorry maybe should of added was talking about the rear end!!

As I said Craig, when you had one of those moments where somebody could actually converse with you  ;D, having a bit of a look at 84 500's - yep (like me  :o) the Kwaka looks way cool but thought the Zook pulled up short in the bike to have!

Naaahhhhh!!!!

Have been down the shed and noticed pre85 RM500 up on the table ,where TM lived for 18months ,so it must be serious.  :o
I went down there to see how boy child was getting on with the YZ 2fitty 2
stroke as she had no compression after her second moto today, the piece between the piston rings was missing  ???
Full steam ahead to get it going for King Of the Cross next weekend.  :P
cheers A
