I have a feeling that the rear hubs/backing plates could be different on the 465 and 500. I have a 500 D hub on my 465 and I think, memory bad, that the backing plate for the 500 hub is larger, and hence stronger than the flimsy 465 one.

Hi Allison, the 465 and 500 rears should be the same I think the fronts are also the same just the front backing plates will differ.

Journey of knowledge-house-shed-house-shed-house  ;D
The two wheels we have ,the backing plate needs to be slightly less than 148 mills diameter.Do you think they maybe are 250 backwheels ??
cheers Alison

465/500 Hubs the same. They changed the brake baking plate on the 500 to a flush fit to make it a bit more waterproof and the 465 sat more inside the hub. 250 hubs the same as the 125 which are smaller looking.

Steve & Allison, outstanding job. I know feeling when a build comes together and the RM500 are a classic. Have you been out on it yet?

The mystery trailer donor is HCMC President Craig Mitchell, who's one of those annoying people who just won't stop helping like-minded bike racers at the drop of a hat... ;)   Great to see your new toy unmasked. Plodding round the house won't get it done though Alison, fistfull of revs and a groove round all four corners... :D
