its up to the SAMX guys to put it up - which is via MASA.

I posted a while ago that as we blew our chance to get the split through last year[ too much forum chat, not enough action], we need to get behind SA this year, and work to ensure the split for 2012. Popeye's comments illustrate one of the main aims of the split,e.g. more laps, more motos,so more value. Connondale was great, but if you only could  ride one class, travelled from Sydney or further, added up travel, accommodation, entry etc, it would have costed over $120.00 per racing lap.
It's not Chrystal Brooks fault the same situation still applies.
Allison's support of the split is interesting as the main resistance to the split and the benefits that have been explained extensively, is coming from WA.

AND...consider that when the the split happens (not if)..there will still be the same costs associated with running an event...with potentially less riders...so the individual cost must go up... riders from WA have a basic support for the split , but are hamstrung by the VMX Club constitution.....which is steadfast at pre '75 only.... So..whilst the WA vote for the split was at pre'75 not pre'78..I believe that there is still (personal) support for the split to be at pre'78...

Correct, Brian. VMXWA can't contemplate a pre-'78 split, as they are constitution-bound, and that's fair enough. Among my resulting queries arose the question of how many pre-'78 bikes at a '78-split nats are likely to (a)turn up, and (b) bugger the track irreparably, deeming it unacceptable and unrideable by pre-'75 entrants ?
Hopefully these resolutions will become clearer at Crystal Brook. But MA will need to keep an open mind and be guided by their members and their workers in the field, not by some devious trickster with an agenda. Personally I reckon Col Metcher should be elected unopposed as MA CEO, he's one clever cookie.

In unrelated news  :o I heard David White has received a 5-year contract extension...What The... ???
