The tank looks great Paul. Bert has done a nice job of it.

I am happy to say I now have the MC350 it came off now and couldn't be happier thanks! After some shit shifting in the workshop to make some room I went and collected it from Fergusons' depot at Penrith Wednesday morning and was very impressed. While I sat and had lunch I gave it a good eye-balling and for the money it was excellent value for such a rare old Maico.

On the way home I stopped by Casa del Firko to give the big fella a look and he too reckoned it was a bargain, and only two numbers off his old warhorse which is one cool old race bike that showed it's years of hard riding and a fair share of trick bits (something about bikes that one person has grown up with and added to as time and dollars allowed - it holds some good memories for him he told me - and how many other Maico's boast a Boyd and Stellings swingarm !!!).

I would like to put the alloy tank back on but something tells me it would not be cheap so enjoy it on one of your bikes mate and thanks again for giving me the chance to own a bit more Maico history.

If you can would you be able to post on some pics of the 350 pre tidy and post tidy up please. Can you post the other front guard up while I think of it.

Cheers

Dave Mac  :)

dave i just read your pm the tank was dented  badly both  sides and the breather tube hole in the top was oblong and stripped  also the fuel taps were to far forward for a squarie so i had them moved back    ,if i dont get that sorta money then i,ll keep it and leave it for mine with the alloy guards should look good
ill take a couple off pic to show underneath

were do you get another one ?

Paul
That sounds like a good idea - it'll look good on yours and I wouldn't want to bugger it up while riding mine besides have to watch the pennies with another GP just bought ::).
Cheers and enjoy the 'new' tank - it looks good !

There you go.

Another big spender out there, lol  :D

I'll give you $255 for the old alloy tank you're trying to sell as it's an after market one, LOL  :D :D :D

What bike do you reckon you are putting it on?

I thought you said you'd put on the 360?

It would look good on there with the polished alloy guards - even better with the alloy airbox I have here..........
