Number 2 would be Lenny Norris, could be CIG GOLDEN WHEELS rd. 3  July '79
(pics 1 & 4 )   789 in the last pic is the great Charlie Edwards
Mark         p.s. Ian Williams had one of those Yammy 125 two pot howlers as well.
                         VERY fast.

Yep, Shots 1 and 4 are at Griffith , Mark, for sure

Freaky, I'm not sure if it is an RD 125, but as Slider says, Ian Williams had one as well, both built in Canberra by Doug Bryant, I may be wrong , but I'm sure KP still has the bike, I'll talk to him later this week.

They were bloody fast , I was at a practice day at Fairbairn in th '70s, both KP and Ian were there, on the 125 twins, they made an awesome noise , tearing around together !!

#92 in shot 4 is Wagga's Loyd Richards , Has anyone any idea who #19 in shot 2 could be ??

Hey Al,
Those 125's were pre RD release. They were either TA125's or kitted AS1's and they were quick. I rode a Clem Daniels prepared TA125 in an MX100 chassis at Young one year and it bloody flew.

Spoke to KP this morning and Pete , you were right, they are worked AS1's, there were three built by Wayne and Doug Bryant, one is in QLD, one is in Canberra some-where and the third is in KP's possession.
Kev tells me that his  125 twin is ready to go and will probably be at the Classic Titles in Canberra in October.

Have captioned KP's photos after speaking to him

Howdy Foss,
Any chance of getting all of pic #1 on screen? Be great to see all of Len in there. Great action shot. There were a few riders i loved to watch and Len was one of them.      Regards  Mark

I've been talking to KP a bit lately, a man of many interests including Speedcars, he still has one , one of the first roll-cage VW Scats.

He mentioned this project he was working on for some-one else and I just had to have a photo of it, the sound of these things would make a strong man tremble , and I , for one would like to give it a squirt around Mount Panorama !!

Yeah , that is a top shot Freaky, looks like Chris Pusey is aiming for the gap, I wonder if the move came off !!

OK , Mark, here's the driveside top end of the Beast with it's bloody great TT, or is it a GP ?, Amal, two differing heads too.

I know KP won't mind me posting his comments as the thunder of four unsilenced 880 JAP and Vincent V twin Skids oufits into turn one of the Lions and Christians atmosphere of the Royale still sends a shiver up me spine , not to mention Debbo's and Stan Bayliss's Vincents at Oran Park and Mount Panorama.

From KP,

Getting to sleep at nite during this project wasn't easy ,for the sound of ' V ' twins roaring around the Showground and up Mountain Straight. Entering the shed to start work on it made me tremble in awe at its very presence in my shed. To finally hear it run will remain a grand moment. Sorry we don't seem able to master this machine to be able to send the movie stuff with the most beautiful sound.
 KP.

KP is gunna send me the vid of the start-up of the Beast, cant wait !!

More action pix from KP, this time 30 odd years later and taken by the same lensman, Taffy Williams.

These are from the '08 Classic DT Titles in Canberra and the first shot shows the sons of two Short Circuit stars from slightly different eras.

Ray Dole Jr. # 109 and Cliff Patton #710, Canteen corner Fairbairn

Next shot is the start of one of the 500 slider heats

# 710 Cliff Patton Hagon Jap, # 63 Phil Gibson Godden Jawa, #78 Mark Aliprandi Jawa, #64 Paul Parlett Cole Elstar, #736 ??? # 45 Tony Day, Hagon Sandracer 84S Jap, I'm not sure of the others

Next is turn one of a 250cc heat,

Cliff outside # 94 Steve Croker, # 33 Clinton McDonald, #6 Grasy, #688 Chis hedges ( on my old MX 250 ), I'm not sure who #4 and # 99 are,.

In that last shot, I gather Cliff is riding KP's 250 Bully?
#99 is St George member Ollie Smith riding John Imrie's Bully.
Great photo's Foss, any more?
