I was digging through some old photos looking for MX shots and found these shots of Slidey's big bro Carlos chucking some dirt track skids.
They're probably elsewhere on here but I'm too lazy to go back through 'em

Only the middle photo is on here before.
That last one is a beauty and very rare, Mr Bucket is in front ;D
I think Ian's on a Hagon 350 Jap and John Druce maybe a Hagon 250 Bully, I know what Carlos is riding because it's sitting in my shed, an Elstar 350 BSA.
Does anyone remember what club Druce was a member off?
Over Exuberance cost him a few wins, that's pretty much Carlos's career in a nutshell, win it or bin it.
The first shot is a good example, close to taking Billy's front wheel out, brave man, Billy cut Carlos more slack than he did anyone else.
Cheers Firko.

The guy on 496 is John Druce, really good dirt tracker from Fairfield MCC, the bike was a 350 bandito in a hagon frame possibly the only Bandito Bultaco hagon.
There was Kerr versions like Phil Youngs but not very many hagons. As the report says all three were not far apart all day but the winner is infront in this shot, doesnt he look stylish. He also beat Chris Pussy on the day much to Mr Spooners disgust.

Oh give yourself a rap.
From what I remember, because I was about 9, this meeting was a very rare wet meeting that went ahead at Nepean and mainly because Chris was there to ride?
Did you beat him on the 350?

Only by the length of the finish straight , I even got a handshake from him, it pisses me off that the guy who owned it, sold the motor and left me with the rest

I'm putting this photo of the late Warren Willis up for no other reason than it being a very cool shot of a very good Maico rider.

I had an email from me old mate Kevin Patton today and with it were some of these top Short Circuit  pix. The pix were taken by Taffy Williams , the father of the '70s Short circuit gun , Ian Williams.
Kevin asked me to comment on the photos, but I really think they tell their own story!!

I don't know where or when and in some cases don't know who but I'll ring KP back and ask the questions, but for now this it how it was at the pointy end in the '70s!!

Lenny Norris on the Wes chasing KP on his KSS JAP off the end of the straight at Griffith, Golden Wheels 1979

1977 Aussie Titles , Ipswich QLD.
Testing the 125 twin at Marchmont circuit ,Yass
KP #710, Kevin Condron (obs), Lenny Norris #2, Loyd Richards, #92 '79 Griffith

1974 Aussie 125ccTitle, Elizabeth South Aus, just after this pic was taken, KP crashed, in his own words " I got too excited, threw the Title away" but not before setting the overall lap record on that bike.

Ok I got a huge storm happening very close so I'll post this and then shut down,
Catch yas later,
Foss

Top shots those. The 1st and 4th shots are Griffith i reckon. Taf would have been standing where the riders came back into the pits.
