Knowing the Elstar intimately, in that shot with Ian at Amaroo it looks like Carl may have left the rear brake pedal and cable in amongst the wreckage, did you end up with 2 Ian? If so I'd like it back.
Evidence of a very rare RH Spear,

Curly re that shot on page 6 with Scaysie and Brian Martin. Pretty sure Jim would have been riding the 350 Maico in the Elstar Grass Frame. As for Brian, never saw him ride anything other than a Moto Crosser so not sure whats going on their.

And the guy laying all over Carl on page 8 would be Ron Campey from Narrabri on a little old 350 Maico.

Heaps of people tried to lean on Carl, he was very misunderstood, just ask Ian.
I'm keen to know who no53 is chasing Billy.
Just had a thought Col, I'm pretty sure it's the Brian Martin from Wollongong, he rode Sliders.

Jim, thanks to Al I have a copy of that DVD and enjoyed every second of it, from what I can gather it's actually from the summer of 72/73 and to my recolection doesn't have any footage of Don. I may be wrong, but there are glimpses of Terry Poole with the No1 and he won the title in 72.
And sadly we lost Geoff in late 73 at that Bloody Sydney Showground.

Ian, I have a footrest & brake pedal for it and there is a repaired hole in the primary cover, maybe that's courtesy of that incident. I'll send you a PM with a step by step guide to loading photo's which my daughter wrote down but I'm still struggling to follow correctly.

Just to prove that I could do it to, this is one of only 3 shots I have of my own short lived career, and one of those is the crash that pretty much ended it all.
The rider on the outside is Mark Collins.

Sounds like I'm getting my Brian Martin's mixed up Curly. I was thinking of the Kiwi Brian Martin that came over from NZ about the same time as Craig Brown and Ross King. Brian was a pretty good Motocrosser in the 70's. He did ride a few short circuit meetings in the early to mid 70's and. Some may remember he rode a 501 Maico at a Nepean Long track in the early 70's. Only time I ever saw a guy ride a big two stroke then or since with no brakes. Curly I have'nt received an email from you yet.
