The Husky didn't compare with riding a 500cc JAP or JAWA. I hated riding the thing.

The top two photos were taken in Kempsey pits. Terry toweling hats were almost as disgusting as terry towelling shorts on women. Ugh!!

Considering I spent what seemed like every 2nd weekend at a meeting I can only ever remember going to Kempsey twice, now I can see it.
Having mentioned the Towelling hats, they were closely followed by the "Custom" Leather Cap, as still worn by TH.
If you go back through the posts on this Topic you'll see that Billy had a very customized one.

I didn't ride for long but did get to ride at Nepean, Syd Showground, Kembla Grange, Liverpool and once at Jerilderie Park Newcastle.
I did spanner for several years with Allan Grahame, Bruce Penhall & Carl of course.

Was that 2nd last one thrown in to test me out?
Several things have me a bit confused.
It's you I gather, the BWP diamond and the number 2.
Could it be a teams event?

You were close. Yes it is me and yes it was a teams event. The club was Mayfield MCC. I think our team was Terry Saxon, Sprata Mason and myself. Where at do you reckon?
The trials event was the NSW titles at Canberra.

This was my 250cc Bultaco in a frame I built. My dad named it the "HOWSTAR"

See if you can guess this track. It was also used as a speedway track for cars but never bikes.

Teams event, Nepean?
Is the other track in NSW? Steeply banked.
The diamond breast plate is from Newcastle in England.
