great shots,

you'd copied some other excess bits of the photobucket picture label before you pasted them in here

Thanks Mainline
I'm on Sattellite broadband and it does funny things sometimes, I was following the How To link about posting images and as far as I could tell I was doing everything right , but I must have gone wrong somewhere as at one stage I clicked on the image code to copy it and it took me straight to a Kodak site.
Thanks again

Great shots, Pete & Allan.
You would've only been a Pup in 75 Pete, 18 or 19?. K.D & Kevin Patton dominated the meeting.
#100, Darryl Buttler was from Fairfield club.
I rec'd the package Allan and it's priceless, I'll ring you soon as it's been a shit fight on the home scene with my 13yo thrill seeking son braking his wrist on Friday arvo, ( no bike involved ) so I spent most of the weekend back & forward to Canterbury Hospital.
Carl's searching through his archives so we'll contribute some photo's soon to help re-energize the interest in the History of this once dominant form of Motorcycling.
Cheers, Steve

Hope the young bloke is on the mend , Steve, and there are no complications , one thing , young people  mend rapidly, say G'day from The Fossil for me, and most of us do know what he's going through.

Another program cover and I do apologise for the quality, however, they are nearly 40 years old and only supposed to last through raceday !

OK if I get it right this time the cover features The Captain and Carl Askew

I rode at the meeting and made the feature for the first time, a bloody awesome experience with all the guns of that era !!! , I was just pleased not to finish last

Great Photos Guys,Like the '75 aussie titles at Griff Pete,(you finished 3rd in the 500 title that day if i'm correct )
Here's a photo of my father Norm Norris at west Wyalong in 1956 on a 350 AJS, not sure who is running 2nd but 3rd is Griffith's Johnny Shields.Dad was one of the founder members of the wyalong motor sports club which was opened in 1955.the track was cut out of the mallee mostly by hand on land leased from the wyalong shire.( I still have that "puddin Basin" cromwell in the shed !

You got the first one right to Fossil, I'm not sure who the one tucked in behind Billy is though.
Classic old photo Len.

Anyone know who 551 is in the first shot with Peter. Some great images on this thread. Thanks to all for making the effort.

Col, been discussing this #551 with me bruvver and a couple of others, in that pic with Pete the last number 1 on the 551 number plate looks like an afterthought, ie as if there were two number 55s at that meeting and one had to change, and the simplest way to do that is to add a number 1, Stephen Gall's numbers were 55 and 23. what do you reckon on it being Steve Gall ??, Pete would know , I guess.

I'm going blind Col, I didn't notice the 1 on the end of the number plate, he does have Steve on his leathers.
Could it be Mr Gall?

Check out the sexy no2 on Carl's bike, and the officials of the day didn't like it?

I reckon it is Steve Gall as his leathers have Steve on the left hand side & Yamaha on the helmet chin guard .Great shot & look at the great surface they are on more than one line around the Griffith track.
