SG #23 i think back then he might have started out with #56 then progressed onto chris dixons number then went onto the single digit plates, and still riding at the front off the pack had a big showing at the troy baliss classic

He did run #55 at one time, Branchy, there's a pic of him on this thread at Griffith with #55 but changed to #551 with inso tape or something

in this shot steve is not old enough to ride at nepean
 brett chiperfield is leading on his new cr250 which he still has today and still races it dirt track.
brett and steve are still good mates.both were as equal riders of dirt track.
the guy brett is riding around is an a grader
the shot is in 1973

Seeing SG as a flaggy makes me think, should every licensed rider have complete one days service as a flaggy per one or five years?
Might help solve the lack of willing flaggy's at events.

I was looking through my late Father, Tom's memorabilia and found this Golden Wheels program. I'm pretty sure this was the last Open meeting I rode in.........It's funny, Nepean will be the first Open meeting in my COMEBACK.... :D
