Firko is freddy sick (he declined)
I thought he'd grab it for sure but I think he might have reached his limit. He got a 2v Weslake top end last week which I think milked the funds.

My wife and I are looking for images of Mick Cady (my dad). Most of the time he was number 318. We are making a book for his 57th birthday on 29th Jan to give as a bit of a reminder of the good old days.
Mick has a fair bit of pics and stuff at home to add to the topic. I'll tell him about it on his birthday and get mum to try and teach him what an upload is. He will be wrapped with all the old stuff on here, Its awesome.
I can remember Amaroo from when I was a kid when I back through all of the posts.

If any one has some pics of him or any of the guys he used to rub bars with it would be MUCH APPRECIATED.

Firko -  The 2 stroke speedway bike you posted looks like a bit of a weapon.

Shit, 57 already, I remember him well.
I'm sure there's a few shots of Mick already on here and there's stuff coming up all the time.
Wish him a happy birthday from all on here.
Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve. Yeah, we have saved everything that has already appeared. Most of the pics he has are of around the pits and not much on the track.
Do you know if he was any other number than 318.

Honestly it's pit photo's that we'd really like to see, just as interesting as action shots.
If or when you get a chance can you put them on here?
My brother Carl finished riding Short Circuit in late 73 and Mick came along a bit after that.

Here's one of Mick at a Nepean vintage meeting in the nineties on his Maico 250. Kevin Frazer on the Ron McKenzie Hagon Bully #76 and Fast Eddie Phipps in red on I bet, his beloved Elsinore. Not sure of the rest. Say g'day to your old man for me.

Thanks Firko.

I'll have to wait till the 29th to show him the forum and he can put the pics on and have a chin wag that way.

I'm pretty sure he only used 318.
Not sure 76 is Fraze, looks like the Wollongong Brian Martin to me and the Mckenzie Bully is a 125.

There were two Ron McKenzie Hagon Bultaco's Slidey, a 125 and a 250. Y'know, I was going to say it was Brian Martin on the slider #76 but I think that's him in red leathers and blue helmet #114. Where's Yamaico Pete, he'd know, he was in the race. Here's some other shots from the very same race which from memory was won by Chris Ellis on my Maico.

Above: #5 Chris Ellis on my 250 Maico, #12 Yamaico Pete Rowlands, 250 Maico, #31 Fast Eddie Phipps, Elsinore, #114, (I think), Brian Martin Bully....not sure who #37 is and #76 Kevin Frazer (I think).

Above: Phippsy and Brian Martin.

Don't forget Firko, there were 2 Brian Martin's, 1 Kiwi who rode a Tm400 with Carlos and Brian Clarkson to win the 6 hour and 1 from the Gong who used the number 76 and also wore those leathers.
I wasn't aware Ron also had a 250.
