I seem to remember half a 44 left over when dear old Curly passed away.
I think the Spear either used it or sold it, I wasn't the least bit interested in bikes around 86.
I was in love, what a fool I was?
Love comes and goes but the good thing is they never want to take our bikes in a settlement. ;D
Unless they're the vindictive type, sorry I have to go.
Coming dear.

Sometimes, but thankfully not too often, I'm disappointed with myself.....LOL........I disposed of my CAN of R40 and all my sprockets and special motor tools when I moved to Terrigal, a little over 12 months ago........why didn't I discover this website earlier ?  >:(
However, I kept my drum of Shell A.......it is the best fuel for my FONDUE cooking !!
PS.....I haven't used it since the 70's.......but I have the best fuel when I do.... :P

Isn't that amazing Dave, I used to " Fondue " my chains using methanol in half a coke can, as did every Speedway rider from the 70's I'm sure, but that smell was def relaxing, or carsinogenic, we'll find out one day.

Steve, it was great to see Geoff Hart again, after such a long time.......here's Central's winning team against Taree at Amaroo Park in 1979.  :D

I know, I know, Slides. These aren't Classic Dirt Track, in fact the "What The !!!!' category is probably more correct. Anyhoo, from Dutch on the JAP engine facebook page.

Two JAP outboards, bloody hell Ya'd wanna have a strong transom !!, I'll try and find a bit more about them.

I was at that meeting Dave and for a bit of trivia, Geoff is wearing my old set of leathers and he sold them on to Craige Boyce.
Apart from you and Geoff the only ones I remember are John Behrens, Scott Dolan and Vic/Les Deguara in the centre front row.
From memorry it was the night after our presentation night & Geoff didn't make it past turn one in practice.
Have to agree Foss, Dave looks like Ron Jeremy.
It's as much your's and everyone else's Foss, if it's got a Jap in it I don't give a shit.

Yeah, Wal, even worse I wouldn't like to rope start the bloody things !!. Ya can see the cut out for the rope in the start pulley on the back motor, the front motor has an interesting timing cover and no magneto like the back motor.

Did any of you other than Jim spot this weird and wacky Jawa 4v conversion on eBay last week? Alan Jones has more Jawa 4v conversions than any sane man on the planet and even he had never seen one before. It's obviously home made and I wonder 1:how it performed and 2: Did Mr Hunter build any more? AJ thought about it but declined.
