Yeah, I thought the "works" motors had CD (competition Development) stamped before the bore x stroke? I was wondering about the frame number as well. Seems to be a production number to me but I ain't no expert.

CD goes further back to the BSA Comp Department.  Nothing to do with CCM.  So that fact it doesnt have CD in the number is nothing to worry about.

Early numbers are typically work bikes, but that isn't a given.  CCM still hold the records of who had what....

Not that it matters to me, it is way over my budget and I have a shed full of projects to finish without adding more.....

Even if I did the money to splash around, I wouldn't be buying that bike for all the obvious reasons.

The CCM motors had the month and year stamped before the bore x stroke didn't they? Something like 1076 90 x 90 ?

nearly $12,000 Aus  :o  :P

yes for frames pre70 - pre80    ie C72 = 1972
interesting to note is that CCM is probably the only factory with the sacred scrolls with bikes made on the production line still in existence.

very nice.  Being fussy, Ceriani fork seal covers on Marzocchi legs, dont work. I have the right covers and stainless clips to do that right.  if the owner is on here and wants some to finish the job of correctly, get in touch
