There has been a few parts go missing over the years and it will require all new plastics, seat, and electrics, a complete engine re-build with new bearings, bushes & shims, re-build both wheels with new rims. If it was me i would bead blast the engine casings & the frame then get it re-plated. All in all I would estimate and total cost of around £3.000 tops to put this bike back to concurs condition which will give it a potential price tag of £30K plus.I have tears in my eyes. £3k to restore it to concours. Ha, dream on. I only wish that were the case. The motor can swallow that in the blink of an eye. I doubt you could get it race ready for that. £5k+ in the motor alone if you want a flyer and that is just on the motor. Frame needs replating. Clucking bell and that is also done in the £3k restoration?
This is 2014 not 1982! A set of spokes is £90 now, plus builds, shoes, rims, tyres, sprocket, paint the hubs. Kiss £1000 good buy to sort the wheels out. Shocks ~ gulp.... the list goes on.
