Thats a Real shame then, what happend to the spirit of the sport,   Wasnt the only one i noticed in my class then, including the 1w3 barrell and radial head on the pre 75 Yamaha,  the monoshock DT, some suss TT front ends etc.......
People really need to make the effort and enter them in the right class huh..

Interesting no eligibilty scrutinerring....

Because I'm now doing a piece on the Griffith Nats for VMX I'm afraid I'll have to reneg on my promise of more photos. We can't spoil the surprise can we? Here are a few out takes that didn't make the final cut.

Brett Chipperfield rode the wheels off his orange Elsinores all weekend

Grasy rode everything he had and cleaned up.

This mysterious gent lurked the pits all weekend wishing he was on the other side of the fence.

Poor old Turtle lost a chain while in a good position at the pointy end. Shit happens.

thats why the bikes were impounded after their respective finals race,to allow for protests, maybe everyone was just having too much fun to give a toss  ;D,some one should have had a quiet word if it was that obvious during the meeting??, :P
work, the curse of the racing class!!
if a hammer dosn't fix it,you have a electrical problem!!

I spotted it too but figured that in the spirit of goodwill he was in pre '78...I didn't think about it too much. It's one that got away and really should have been dealt with, especially seeing he was pretty quick. Ending up in hospital ended any problems with protests I'd imagine.

Nah You shouldnt need to protest mick, why should the guy in last have to protest the guy in 5th and so on just to keep the integrety in the sport, its about people taking simple steps to makes sure theyre doing the right thing, the owness should be on the rider, surely at the least its it an honour thing.  :(

I find it a little hard to think anyone in the sport wouldnt be able to know if there stuff is Kosha, and if there is any doubt on what model your bike is, its prity easy to ask someone. :-\

Still not the organisers fault, they put on a good show. ;D

And firko thats not the one im talking about, its more the DT400's and the 77 250cc barrel/radial in pre 75.  That one your talking about was at least riding up into the right years....
