Good work blokes. I couldn't think of a more deserving club/town/track than Griffith and the Pines. This is a great chance to keep the promotional ball rolling and get everyone good and pumped by September. This is the best opportunity to put the vintage dirt track back up there in popularity. Because of the proximity to so many wineries ( and even the brewery out at Be Bortolis) what are the chances of a tie in with one of them for the social stuff?
I still remember that party at San Bernardino Winery at the '75 titles 8)

Great news I reckon.
To have it locked in early is a bonus, Hunter did a great job with limited support this year and if we can all get on the bush telegraph we can keep the ball rolling.
I'll be there no matter what and according to plan, on the fast side of the fence.
Well done & good luck to all involved.
Steve

Can some one put up the location so we can consult the map etc.  GOOd it later in the year, and great heads up, will try to get our calender to sync with it and Broadford this year.

Even if we have to drop a round or move a date. easy to do now we have some dates..

Cheers Guys.

Freaky, seeing how it is in your back yard (practically) do you reckon you will be able to rally a few of the SA troops to make it to Griffith for Dirt Track Titles. Should be a ripper.

If somone can post up the address of the track it would be good ( id like to see the google directions.

I plan on doing both he NAt this year and cutting out the local vintage meets and just doing modern ride days, i road this weekend and after 2 rounds my left leg went to jelly and spent the rest of the meet hanging it on the tank cause i couldnt get it back on the pegs, it was embarrasing im getting old or out of touch for more than 2 classes, and to top it off they went and made em 6 lap races too from the usualy 4 lappers............... im feeling it today and tomorrow will be hell when it sets in.

April's going to be a stretch to get a bike ready though for the MX , promises the misses i would be around over xmas to do stuff around the house and holiday with the family what ever that means.........why do girls always need holidays ?

I think the most of riders would be able to come from mildura, if its a speedway oval track ?  on clay?  those mildura boys up there would smoke the field if you gave them an eligible bike.

IM sure By september ill be organised enough to come up and see if i can drag any others with me.

This map even has GPS CO-ORDINATES.
If you run your "cursor" over the hand drawn map, it will display pictures of each location 8) How cool is that 8)

September 18th and 19th, Plenty of time to get the personal trainer to work on the gonnad building program, see you there 8)
Cheers, Mick.

Hello Jim,
Thanks mate, I appreciate it. Hey Jim if I turn up with just a Maico pre78 400. Is pre78 open my only race?

As I said "thanks" and cheers, Mick.

Hi Mick,
It will depend on the sup. regs. which may not be out till a couple of months/weeks before event.
But this year a pre 78 bike also got you a ride in EVO, as you were allowed one ride up class per bike.
Cheers
Noel

Griffith is in a great spot for the Nats and even Freaky shouldn't whinge about having to travel too far to get to Griffith. Just a short run up through the Riverlands to the Hay plains and voila...he's there. I doubt you'd get many West Aussies as they wouldn't have a clue what Dirt Track is. If the event can attract the riders from Vic and SA as well as the NSW city and bush racers it should indeed be bigger than Texas. Klub Kevlar has been having top level discussion as to our comittment to the event and will be there en masse with some decent race tackle. We can't let the home team keep their own trophies. ;D
