from the right
YZ125C frame & motor with "X" forks,shock,swingarm & tank.
a good old AG175 silencer :D
and has a good aluminium throttle tube on it.
some of you may have seen it for sale at CD7.
i walked away from it there as i just didn't have the room or time for it but 2nd time round i found it too irresistable.
i remember riding a mates 125X back when i was at school and it felt like an oversized YZ80F.
needless to say that impression lasted and was also rekindled by Dj's generosity in letting me ride his Nogucci.

from the left.
just figured out this photobucket thing.
sheesh! i'm now a computer nerd... ;D
given i've got another bike i'm doing in front of this one, it'll be a little while before i make a start on it but i reckon it's a pretty good base to begin from. :)

YZ125C frame & motor with "X" forks,shock,swingarm & tank.

Its a genuine Hairdo Replica!

Funnily enough, I've been wondering about taking my X back to original, and building my own Hairdo Replica race bike out of a C.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Its a genuine Hairdo Replica!
the Hairdo even inspected the bike with me and guided me through the finer "replica" bits :D

Het Steveo247,
I have a YZ80C and had the tank re painted. Yamaha wont give you the paint code but I had it matched by a panel shop at Cleveland. It is a perfect match to a Volkswagen Beetle colour but not sure what 70's model it is. Take it to a paint shop and they will find it.
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

WTF is that silencer off?! IT175? Its a nasty thing to do to a 125 MXer!

Otherwise, looking good.

the silencer is a nos californian spark arrester for the yz125x.having troble with tuning bike so back to reading the yz125x owners manual.very last page says,if bike is fitted with ca spark arrester and you DONT live in california enlarge the 9mm exit hole to 25mm and get all your power back,up untill now not overly thrilled about the little yz. in fitters shop tuesday night got 25mm hole cut saw and cut a 25mm hole were the 9mm one was.while the pipe was off retimed the bike to 1.2mm btdc as per book put pipe and muffler back on.took it out side started it up. it slouder now and what it even has some power as i road it down the street 11.00am.this looks good so back in the shed will take it out to meani monday morning to do some jetting.
rang nathan and got a i told you so but it getting better

does anyone know if the 125C and 125X exausts are the same?

they are the same part number, silencer is different.

I'm looking for a performance exhuast for mine, and Jemco make one for the 125C but he says it wont fit the 125X?

I'm led to believe the x pipe has a slightly fatter expansion chamber
