Marc you could always paint the fugly yellow Simons ignition cover a slick titanium colour to dazzle the troops.
I've found a Kia colour that matches my idea of what titanium looks like,  it's a sort of silvery grey with a tint of beige that can only be seen at dusk on a low sunset :D.....I'm going to paint a whole frame the colour as soon as I can get the paint mixed and matched. The Merlot's kicked in so I'm off to bed, good night John Boy..wherever you are.

Hey Firko titanium frame huh.... you been mixing the Oxycontin with the Merlot again. Lucky I am not a sensitive soul or I may have taken the idea of painting a NOS rare Simons ignition cover black, or my nice PM shocks anything other than blue..... Alison is on the Merlot as well.

Don't tempt me I may spray the whole bike Chameleon so it tints red to green if I am pushed too far.  ;D
Hmmm I feel a parts swap coming on.

I think I have more money in the Simons that the rest of the bike..... for $150 original bore motor and $80 frame it came together .... the FMF head is missing some teeth but another $200 purchase and has  date with the welder. Not really into 125s, but tripped over the motor and decided to build a friend for my 370.

Much bettera ;D     holy snappin duck shit that turbo is jinormus.

No this is a real mans turbocharger ..... TPL91B, 18 cubic feet a second and 5.0 compression ratio, makes the shop compressor look a bit sick. Rotor weighs about 2.5 tonnes, compressor wheel costs about the same as a new Porsche.

The current class of container ships being built are twin sked hull design, have 18000-20000 sea containers and 3 of these bad boys per engine.

I reckon it's a cool bike. As much as our sport needs the proper concourse resto bikes, they're often an extremely expensive undertaking....just ask Ted. Bike's like Marcs little RM and Yamaico's KLX/DT 400 el Cheapo show that you don't have to double mortgage to build a competitive and interesting bike. That ugly step sister swingarm makes Marcs bike even more interesting. I'd much rather see those eBay orphan parts go into making a complete bike than to keep getting regurgitated on the eBay merry-go-round.

Yeah I like the after market stuff and find NOS builds as boring as bat shit. But that's just my taste, I get excited about a fugly swinger in the same way that someone else gets excited about a NOS 73 Elsinore tank breather tube.....they are part of MX history

Important thing for me is the finish should be detailed down to the fasteners and clamps etc ..... nothing looks worse than a VMXer strung together with stainless socket screws

MAN is the dominant company, used to be 50/50 with Sulzer but now MAN B&W own iit

this is the heads and fuel injection gear of a big engine, 1 meter bored 3 meters of stroke roughly.
