BUT they are different you must agree ;) and could not be mistaken for anything else. They go much better than most people realise.

By no mean an ugly bike just not up to the high water mark set by the earlier Monties. To my eye it looks like a collection of parts without regard to colour. Whereas the earlier Monties had an certain artistic integrity  8)

I love the look of them. Especially the VE's. They look like what they are. A motocross tool! Built to race motocross and nothing else. Four speed, limited gearing (you'd be lucky to get 100 k's out of one geared up) and all the good bits that you could put on a bike (at the time). They were built for the Euro tracks of the day (something like our tracks have become now).
No. I think they look exactly how they should.... 8)

After so many beautiful bikes the last MXer's the designer should of had his eyes poked out.
I agree, they must have sacked the original design team, this model looks a bit like a miss match of parts left over from other models. Having said that, I reckon that's a positive, it separates the Monty from all of the bland white, yellow and red plastic bikes that make up the majority of the pits these days. The VF cries out at the top of its voice "Look at me World, I'm different" with a gay, Spanish accent.

That's funny. To me it says in its best spanish "Hey whitey. You keep starin' at me and I smash you face in...." ;)

Geeze Firko that's the second reference to gay Spanish or Anglo Spanish today. You must have had a bad experience recently :-X.

I think the VB series was the best looking followed by the white VG series and then the VF. The early VR's with the black guards are not (in my opinion) as nice looking as the '74 series.

Have never been a big fan of the appearance of any of the Rickmans but if they float your boat that's great. Having said that they have that 'functional' look very much like all the Euro MXers.
