Often takes Paypal a day or two to answer, they must get a lot of these.

Yep they have been busy alright. Been getting fake emails impersonating Banks, Paypal, Telstra, Microsoft and Google. They all revolve around money or some offer that is just to good to be true. Spend the money and run a really good antivirus program that is set to update automatically everyday and to scan your computer everyday. I have also heard that some of the free antivirus programmes available online do not protect your passwords when banking online. Get good protection and avoid the grief.  ;D ;D

Been running Trend Micro Titanium for just over a year now without any dramas. Got tired of Trojans, Worms and Spybots forking up my computer everytime I went online and then having to pay someone to fix it.   ;D

Check the actual message source by right clicking on the email notification and clicking 'Veiw Message Source'  before you actually open the email if in doubt. Usually the senders actual email address will show inconsistencies ;)

Jeez, what's with all the agro lately, read and comprhend the posts properly and you'll see there was no mention that you were sucked into a Nigerian scam ???  it was just a comment on another very popular scam that I'm sure near everyone has received at some time or another. Been browsing online for over 15 years and I'm yet to fall victim to any of this shit..commonsense goes a long way.

There are apparently some Mac specific viruses doing the rounds now so keep an eye out.

See thats the thing with good quality virus protection, if it detects anything dodgy it won't allow any links to open or any changes to your register values and settings.  :)
