Tech Talk / 79 Suzuki Rm125 crank seal
« on: November 27, 2024, 07:16:40 am »
Helou
Just would like to ask Suzuki expetrs/addicts what right hand crank seal(79 Rm 125) can be used in place of the originĂ¡l suzuki item.  OriginĂ¡l suzuki has two spring but is no longer available from partzilla or cmsnl. Would a regular double lipped seal with only one spring work just fine?
Thank you

General Discussion / Mikuni carburetor parts
« on: July 16, 2019, 02:35:18 pm »
Hello
Can anyone recommend Mikuni carburettor part supplier. Preferably EU,UK or US supplier. I know that Mikuni OZ is a great supplier but Auspost/StarTrack just keep loosing parcels and will not compensate for lost items. Just sick of using Auspost.
Thank you for your help

Suzuki / 80 RM 125 stator
« on: October 05, 2018, 04:54:36 pm »
Hi everyone
Just would like to know if anyone have any experience(good or bad) with generic(I guess made in PRC) suzuki rm 125 stators like this one https://www.ebay.ie/itm/ElectroSport-ESC8081-OEM-Replacement-Stator-for-Suzuki-RM-and-TM-Models-/162022656083
I had a chance to look at one and only diference I could see was that the generic one does not have timing mark stamped where the plate is bolted to crankcase. I am considering one of these since it is a new item and not a 30-40 years old NOS for 250-300 dollars.  These stators are listed as part that suits many models of RM. I guess only diference would be that  timing has to be set since these stators dont have timing mark. I am considering one for a bike I am building. Bit of mix between 1979-80-81 Suzuki rm 125. Thank you for your advices and opinions.

Suzuki / 1980 suzuki rm 125 needle jet
« on: September 30, 2016, 04:46:29 pm »
Just would like to know what would be a replacement for a stock 1980 RM 125  S-O needle jet. New Mikuni VM32 carburetor I got has Q-6 needle jet. Not sure if Q-6 would work right and  S-0 needle jet is no longer available from Suzuki and MikuniOz does not list S-0 needle jet either.

Tech Talk / Aluminium Swingarm Repair
« on: July 12, 2015, 02:16:20 pm »
Just would like to know if a heat treatment is necessary after repair of aluminium swingrarm. I had shock absorber lugs repaired and bolt holes filled on 1980 RM 125 swing arm. Right lugs was fully rewelded and left lug had a cracked weld repaired(Properly weld preped and profesionaly tig welded). Is a heat treatment necessary or will it hold ok as it is. I know that these swingarm were originaly mig welded but I dont know about heat treatment. Thank you for your help and ideas.

Suzuki / Suzuki rm CDI unit identification
« on: March 12, 2015, 03:33:21 pm »
Is there any way to identify Suzuki rm CDI units? I have two black (plastic casing) CDI units, but they have no part numbers to identify them.  I can only guess what bike they suit by comparing them with pictures from part fiches. Any ideas?
