Suzuki / crankshaft repair

Just would like to know if anyone here ever atempted to sleeve crankshaft journal. I have a crankshaft (80 RM 125)i want to use but magneto(left side) juornal is worn 0.02mm undersize. I am thinking of machining the diameter down by 1.5-2mm and pressing/shrink fitting a sleeve on(mild steel,4130) and machining it to correct size. Also, would loctite retaining compound work since the diameter is only 0.02mm undersize? Any ideas/recomendations? I know that some crankshafts dont have bearings press fitted but that depends on desing of the crank.

Loking for a cylinder head for 79-80 Suzuki rm 100-125. Dome can be pited but no broken fins, striped plug thread or othewise butchered. I'll try here before ebay. Let me know if you have one. Thank you

can anyone recomend a good old school machinist that can do some machinig work (crank shaft and engine cases). i am looking for someone old school. someone who can do tight tolerances. i am happy to wait longer to get job done, as long as i get what i ask for.

Tech Talk / Ohlins ITC on 1980 RM 125

I am looking at geting Ohlins ITC shocks for $210 and modifying these to use them on 1980 RM 125 i am building. Are they good value for money and do they need revalving. Shocks came from Husqvarna 250 I was told. I can do all machining myself. But not sure if the valving going to work. Thank you for ideas and help.

Wanted / 1979-80 Suzuki rm 125 parts

Just would like to know if it is necessary to balance a crankshaft after it was modified and rebuild. The crankshaft in question is 1979 rm125 crank with 2000 rm 125 rod kit installed. New rod is touch heavier. What would be a simplest way to balance a crankshaft? Is it necessary to have piston installed when balancing? I dont have any special tools etc.
