There is no way any club could run the 2014 titles at these late stage it is OK to say lets do it,But of all the posters whom of you have ever tried to promote an the Titles ,I personally have it took about 8 weeks off work & loss of income. Thankfully the club made a profit.
I seem to follow this site & hope to see some positive things, but the comments about the Penrith track on the Charity weekend about over watering leave me thinking you jokers are just a bunch of whingers. That track was superb!!!! Maybe have a crack at riding & not typing. I am gone from this site .

Temora ,Penrith & Griffith have all thought about trying to run the event, but it is just to much work for any of us to get thru to make it a profitable & successful venture.
My personal thought is that ACT should have asked Temora for the entry forms for last years 2013 titles & mailed an entry form to all the prospective riders as not everyone can search or has the ability to search the internet for the event. As we did (GMSC) in 2010 approached Barleigh Ranch.

Griffith hosted the 2010 CDT we had a practise & one round under lights, starting at 4.00pm with practise  (we hoped to run two rounds under lights but the Clerk of the Course assumed there was rain on the way,he had no idea as the club spent alot off money & time into the getting the lighting the weather was spot on & a good Saturday night crowd. Griffith can run a CDT in one day but ! It is a weekend of catching up & having a good time . We could do the whole show in 6 hours, 20 races per hour. We normally have to send the grader out at some stage to slow the show down as riders complain that the race schedule is to fast.
But the 2 day format is great relaxed drive & something goes wrong you time to fix it & the camp fire nights are usually better then the racing.

In our local area we still run the Golden Wheels as an inter club challenge Moderns & Classics (Up to 250 & over 250 Pre 85). But I damned if I will go to Canberra for another title on an pathetic surface & slow run meeting (it is like watching paint dry) Good on them for putting in for it but it is not as place I like to ride, Griffith didn't as it is supposed be in a different state each year shame Broadford or Albury didn't but a proposal in.

Would be Great to see Vic or SA to host them.as it it is supposed to be in a different state each year. As ACT QLD & NSW have all had one recently . But if its up for grabs Griffith will have a crack.
