My next project is my Monark, it has the original paint on it. PM me and I'll send a photo of the colour.
The ATK is a blue verging on purple, I had one.

Rog, you're a marvel, thanks for the PR. a reminder to all that VERi has Roger's book for $50 (unsigned) in your hand at the Hopetoun GP this weekend. These are collectors items and who knows what price they'll be on eBay soon? (Harrow medals anybody?)
I'm bummed out at the moment, the ute is at Dave's Ultra Tune workshop with serious engine issues and I strolled over to Red Plate the SWM at Sunshine Vic Roads and couldn't as they had no plates!!!!
Looking a bit tricky for my ETA at Hopetoun. I'll cage a ride up with Dave H if necessary tho.
Mumble mumble grumble......

.....oooohhhh I'm just blown away!!! What have we started? I will have to watch my back with the spares I have at home. Dead artist = dead organiser. GMC is right, the cost of the medal is cheap, hell. I've only got one bronze from 5 events!

Hey guys,
Looks like some absolutely wonderful stuff coming out! I'm constantly blown away by the quality and rarity of bikes each year....just when I thought I'd seen it all. Good to have you back Firko, Jonesy, Phippsy and all.
Cheers D.
...now I'd better get some tickets printed......etc etc

Thanks for all your positive comments guys, yes, I was outvoted on the pre '90 issue but we roll on.
Firko, we love the DT/Spdwy and the show they put on, not forgetting the Sat Night Speedway Spectacular. This year the Speedway Sidecar Boys are running the whole show after an absence last year and are keen as: bringing out rare two strokes as well as the thundering Vincents.
Rest assured the events will run like clockwork. Also, the Kustom Kommune http://kustomkommune.com.au/#/ guys will be making a special appearance on the Sunday to test their creations on the track.
Don't forget for the price of entry you get a special treat on the Friday night with Roger Harvey launching his book 'Desert Downunder' at 6pm about the Sunraysia/Hattah BP Desert Rally from 1971-78.
A big display will be at the MX sheds (not the speedway one) to draw a bit more attention to the MX area.
Then it's off to the '6 Hour Afterparty' at the RR Sheds where there are more stars of the day attending than I can comprehend. How many riders competed in both events? You'll be surprised!
Then on the Sunday from 10am we set off on the Red Plate Trailride for CPS rego bikes (or full) pre 1990 into the forest at Tallarook. Registration for the event is an extra $5 for special stickers. GMC and Steve Taylor are planning the course.
Enough dirt action boys? There is a possibility that the Supercross area might be flattened for a mini bike/scrambles track too.

...ahlzimers is setting in...I meant Barry Collins of WURTH, thanks to Rookie and Serge for the 5th Aniv. Harrow Vinduro T's they're organising for sale, Monsieur Paul from DMCW for funds, CJJJ Medical, Clubby from TrailZone for the massive ads, locals Bruce and Paul for Route Check manning and recovery,  the Finkinator and Ian for sweeping, the god bless 'em Goddard clan for office help and deciphering my 'systems', the State Trophy Team Managers for dealing with their keen appointees and disappointed starters, Lauchie Turner for the impetus and property (he still has an idea to include another bit of land), the humour of GMC (who has never seen so much money pass before his eyes in his lifetime) and Le Frog Kalika,.....ah I could go on forever with the offers of help that flow in; love you all. Maybe everyone needs to stuff up their first event so you all can help 'put it right'?
Now, leave me alone, I must contemplate my navel in the BW hideaway....

Reading these last 8 pages has made it all worthwhile.....jeezus you guys must be the best s---stirrers a guy could know!
It's gratifying that it'll all come together in a big rush:
-in the flooded Glenelg
-in the impenetrable gullies
-in the gloopy swamp
-in the sand stretch WFO get-off
-in the Interstate Trophy Teams sabotage
-in the never-never land of seldom seen arrows
-in the Harrow dungeon with the mummified cat
-in the hysteria of the 'Teams Dinner'
-(insert your own undoing here).
Well folks, we really are up and running: the Interstate Teams are largely finalised, the 3 man Club Teams are showing their inventive spin, entries are still coming (I'm up to Blackwood for the next 5 days, more paperwork and fine tuning that fine piece of Czech Iron) and we're up to #175, the medals are ordered, the Meritous Trophies are in, Barossa Trophies are coming, heaps of goodies from Wurth (god bless you Bruce C) and Goldacres have just donated a mega pressure washer as a prize. Thanks Bruce Mac. Shannons are setting up a stall, I've just doubled the order of arrows (...insert smart arse comment here...), heaps of bunting, the front # stickers are being printed (thanks Neil), Banners and VERi stickers done (thanks Shoey), time cards ordered, tags gotten, signs sourced, Sam of Crank Coffee is confirmed, the Dinner is sorted with drinks and food, the pub will be serving meals as well as your favourite poison, all permissions from landowners obtained, heaps have volunteered to help set up (...what! don't say it...), permits sorted, clickers bought, clocks have new batteries, staple guns checked, etc etc....
F--- I love doing this....IT'S GONNA BE A HOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Petrel is right. Mr L Turner has ploughed the scramble track ready to sell the property. We will ONLY be using the sand track.

Hmmm, Bonza UK Bonanza, when will you accept the invite to come down to the HBBB Ken? The offer of a free trade stand and passes is still on.

All 1973 were thin fibreglass, a one-off shape you'll see in all the ads. Check the Aussie fibreglass workers as I can't remember where I got mine reproduced

Kalika you bastard...just when my laptop breaks so I can't see the mayhem you created! Lucky I took it for a squirt right after you gave it one so I cleared out the pipe. With your BMW/Jap genes I hope we don't see lil' postie bikes popping out.
Next time you all see it it'll be just like it was originally.
BTW, it was the Newcastle bike formerly loved by Temple Eyre and for a 350 with a 32mm carby it goes like stink.

CZ / Re: Glen Britza's CZ 250 TP for sale
« on: November 18, 2012, 05:57:07 pm »
Thanks Firko, when you inspired by a great topic or a rare individual, it's not hard.
Thankfully I sold the OSSA Phantom '74 for $6000 and the CZ TP is off the endangered list and sitting in the lounge room after I gave the neibours a sample of CZ pipe and gearwhine.
Just have to make up the the $1500 for the Banana JAWA.
Ah, life is grand.

Harrow 'International' Vinduro, the last weekend in July, the 27-28th.
This gives our international guests time to recover from  Auroux 2013 - 13/14 July in France and catch a flight to Baker Boyo's for the trip south.
GMC; do you want to make the 'special test' an eating one? The last to barf wins?
