Cheap really, when you consider entry fee, fuel, camping fee not to mention wear and tear on the bike.
Might stay home for the next one and just sit back and surf ebay for my much sort after medal, after all the effort I went through last year and still didn't get a medal.

The seller has some old pennys for sale at much less proving that a harrow medal is very unique.
I wonder if we get the next batch made with some defects if it will make them more collectable!

That's Hilarious, pity no description on what it is about.

How did he come up with price??

Finally who would have given up their medal of such a historic event??

I think we should all put a watch on it, the seller will think it has turned into gold :P

After all my mixed feelings on this had passed I've chosen to take the same line of thought as CanAm370, it can only be a good thing for exposure of the event and acknowledgement of the prestige it carries  :)

Cheers, Brendan

Harrow medal credibility now in doubt, seems e-bay may not be the best place to value something!

.....oooohhhh I'm just blown away!!! What have we started? I will have to watch my back with the spares I have at home. Dead artist = dead organiser. GMC is right, the cost of the medal is cheap, hell. I've only got one bronze from 5 events!

All the forum buzz must be inflating the sale price - it started at $99.95!

Jeepers, whats memorabilia from the inaugural Hopetoun going to be worth? I reckon that as long as I can prove the provenance of my riding sock with the hole for my big toe having been worn in the event it'll be worth a motsa in the future!!

claiming a seized piston and jug are from "Hopetoun" could be difficult... ;D
