KTM / Team Tossa Austrian Combine harvester

Finally got hold of a 1981 KTM 390.  I have placed this on our website pre85MXWA as a project.  In the east you have a great setup as in knowledge on this website which i have used and also the ability to find some great professional services.  in the west the knowledge and professionals are there, but takes some work to get the details out of people.  So i've placed it on the website asking questions of people in how I should rebuild the bike, if you have a look, you might get a better idea of what I mean.  i would appreciate your thoughts

I hope to have this one rebuilt for the manjimup 15000 (first Sunday in June)

Caught up with an old army mate in Tassie Jim "Hooky" Blake.  Lost lower part of his right arm in Vietnam.  Hasn't stopped him from riding  Has an amazing Trike.  Throttle and brakes on left hadn side of Handlebars.  Foot Clutch and obligitary reverse gear on this 1347cc Harley (worked motor).  The wife was last seen disappearing into the distance on the back at just a tad over the speed limit

Well it's happened the feral photographer (Christine) has finished the site for the pre85MXWA club.  Well not quite a club yet.  But all things point to it being successful

Manjimup 15000, support Class, any eastern states want to ride at one of australia's premier events

Suzuki / 1983 RM250D Carbie settings

Jusr bought the bike, looked in the Clymers Manual and only shows a round slide carbie settings, when it should be a Flat slide.

General Discussion / US Postal charges

I've just purchased three cables from Bikebandit in the states cost USD $45 and damn me the postal charges USD $79.07.  When i question this, their explanation was that was their stand ard postal charge, what a rip off.

On the other hand i purchased a seat cover from another vendor $30.00 USD, postal charge $18.00 USD, go figure!!

Yamaha / Fuel Mix MX250A/MX360A

Hi guys, I've got a MX250A and MX360A, have been having problems with fouled plugs, changed from natural based to synthetic, still ran at 25:1.  Big probs with plugs.  Noticed on another thread that they recommend 30:1 plus autolube.  This was from a set of specifications given Latest VMX had good article on oil choices suggesting 40:1 on synthetic

Am running standard jetting 260 main jet on 250 and 270 on the 360.  Don't want to fiddle with the jetting.  Anybody give me an idea as to what they are running

KTM / Wanted KTM

Looking at getting hold of a MX250, 78-82, pre water bucket, haven't seen any around.  do many come up for sale in the eastern states.  Haven't seen one for sale over here in the west.

Is it easier to find a larger capacity or even a GS model, though we don't have vinduro's over here, well not yet.

Riding Pre75 at moment and loving it.  But the pre 85's are now being placed on the support programmes of certain events.  So thought I'd find something that goes well when i finish last (riding ability not bike)
