There are too many great bikes in those pictures to suggest that anyone 1 person would think they're all crap? :-\....................would they?
-
So Noel does this mean that you;re going to be dropping that RM125 off at my place in the near future? It didn't make your top 6 so best I look after it for you :)

12nothing is what some of us call 125s.
There are too many great bikes in those pictures to suggest that anyone 1 person would think they're all crap? Undecided....................would they?
??? ??? No bagging, these were the best. They won 6days not 45min races ;)

If could find one of these I would.

I would assume something got lost in translation with the rear linkage name!

Hey Lozza,
What's the deal with the Gilera twin? Did it work?
-
Pro Link, the name implies that the bike has a Professional linkage system not unlike what the Pro riders might use.
Full Floater, gives the impression that the bike will simply float across the bumps with ease, and from all reports this seems to be the case.
I’m guessing though that the Sticky System was a marketing failure

Either one way or the other worked so good they barred it immediately or was a complete shitter. Floats would be just like the speedway Amal's etc no big deal. He's one I been secretly working on. Tandem twins are the ultimate engine.

Now that's a cool project. Would make a nice dirt track engine too I would expect...
-
Easy to get 70+HP from the Type 256 engine, I don't think they would like dirt track to much, dry clutch 'n all. That's not my project I just came across it googling some images ;D. Barking mad crazy especialy since they built 2 for desert racing I would imagine.

Hey Lozza,

If my memory serves me correctly, when Gaston Rahier was riding for one of the Italian manufacturers after his Suz days they developed a 125 twin for him. I've never seen a pic of the bike before but I presume it was this bike (or similar). My recollection is that it did work, or at least showed considerable promise, & got banned cos somebody was planning/threatening to build a 125 triple (I kid you not!) to beat it, so 125 multis were banned from MX to preclude costs escalating to exhorbitant levels

And then came the four strokes....

That's code for "Large Japanese factories being beaten by small Italian factories"
-
Never mind the twin (I thought they had a prototype parallel twin) I'd settle for one of these:

As opposed to large european factories (Husqvarna and Maico) being beaten by small Japanese factory (Suzuki) 8)

Yes if the bike had soft suspension or you are 7 feet tall ;D ;D One would need a step ladder to get on board....forget about starting it on the track!
-
I rode John Hansens [ QLD] 82/125 [ Paul Rooney ] Husky and while it was a bit peaky it handled very very well.
Just think about going around a corner and it had already done it.
My 81/125 KTM Mx [ water cooled ] had heaps of power every where but was more suited to speedway .
Pain full/hard work in the tight stuff but you could slide it forever. ;D
