1976 RM 370 forks
« on: October 15, 2011, 09:31:40 AM »
Hi I am looking for a set of forks for a RM 370. I believe this type of fork also suited the 250 of the same era.

A or B as they are rather different.

Nipper I have a good set of lower alloy fork legs. Need to check if they are A or B. A ones have a thread in the leg itself and B run a separate nut from memory. The top end of the forks have a necking or taper where the top cap fits in. Ta Pete

Thanks Pete, The forks that I have for this bike have spent a fair time out in the elements and have been damaged by having water in them,The lower alloy fork legs that I have arent in too bad a condition but its the staunchions and the damper rods that I am after to make them work again...would you have any of those parts ? regards Nipper.

Nipper, sorry not  a real lot. all gone. I just had forks re-chromed and ground in Sydney at a reasonable price. Not sure where you are. let me know if you want to re do the old ones which are hard to get Pete

I have 3 sets A/B including clamps, none perfect but all are restorable. There's probably only one set you could use with a service.
Cheers,
K

Chers Pete  i am in Adelaide , I have used hard chrome services to do the rechroming before. They were reasonably priced and provided a good service.
