Best RM MODEL??

Yamaha forum asked which YZ was best(as if there was ever a good one...), so what do we think was Suzuki's finest RM/TM? RM125s? RM125 N/T/X?? RM370?? TM400Cyclone... Let us know what you think. And pics of any you may have.

tm i know it was a monster and caused a lot of injuries but that is what i like in a bike and tm400 any year really rates high on my list and then being a big bore freak rm500 got to be up there as the best rm for me although i will be trying to put together an rm400 soon thanks Michael. :)

The best from my personal experience, (I've owned and raced RM125A&B, RM125T, RM125Z, RM500D) would have to be the 1982 RM250Z.
Hands down the best 250 of it's year bog stock and out of the crate...No-one from my racing area could beat them except one visiting international rider on a prepped YZ250J and the next 7 places were RM250Z's

No suzuki guru here but for its time I would say the RM125 B smoke everything else that was available at the time.
Also the 81 RM125 - US National privateer Doug Dubar refused to upgrade to the next model for 3 years . I think he finally got a ride so had to give it up. 3 years was along time backthen. :)

Ps I have always read that the rm125x was the bees knees in 81 and the quickest 125 of its time havent got to ride one so what would I know ;) thanks Michael. :)

The RM370 is the hornys lookn suz the tanks that nice people still put them on RM400c. 8) ;) ;D

Suzuki built so many good bikes that dominated their class it is hard to answer with just one bike.

2010 RMZ450..... it is all about the motor,god knows what they have done to the 2009 but fastest bike out there 2 strokes included.

honorable mentions

RM500D ..... motor feels more like big 250 which has got to be a good thing.
RM250Z ..... like Cyclegod said.
RM125X ..... had one new, technically pissed all over everything in every class but tended to blow up, Z was better
RM370B ..... best 2 strokes are medium size ones.

Yup the '82 RM 250. I don't know how well they went but they're one of the toughest lookin' bikes out.  :P

Ill vote for the RMAs and RMBs, all 3 models from both years where weapons and could beat anything out their. They might not have been perfect but as a package were the goods. I think these bikes made the other manufacturers lift their games. They where as hot to look at as Daisy Duke and rode just as well :P :P :-* ;)

My personal favorite was my RM250Z, ditto for the above comments,honorable mention to my RM125X, had an awsome motor. At the moment i have a RM250X which i bought from the original owner, and i have to say its great fun to ride. IMO Suzuki had a strangle hold from 1976 to 1983, not detracting from the many other great bikes of that time, but they couldnt seem to do anything majorly wrong in that period.

For me the RM125B was one of the best bikes i ever owned and the best 125 of '77. The RM125X was also miles ahead of the pack in it's day.

The A & B were hot, the C series was (for me) the coolest of them all. The mono-shock bikes are ABSOLUTELY PLUG UGLY.

The 82 250 & 465 were "GEMS" I had both they were real good bikes best rear suspension at the time,

They original RM125 & RM125S should also get a mention,I had both best 125 of there time as well.
