Thats strange that guys says 73-76 so how can they be the same ? or morso the 76 differant ?  I have a complete 76 TS 250 sitting in the back garden somewhere and i reckon the barell dont look like that looks more like the TM, and i dont remeber the 'E" and other stampings all over it like the one in the pic.

What do you need it for and what are you paying JC ?  I think i have a loose TS Barell inside and then there is one on that bike for sure.  Guess depending on what you need it for i can offer a suggestion.

I estimate that barrel would have cost less than $300 landed here, when I have made inquries about re-chroming here there talking $500 to $600 and from talking to people its pot luck if you get a good job! I dont think trade price is going to give it to you for less than half price? Im with Bill, I think that was a bargin ;)Cheers John.

So is this the barrell that you guys are using to base your port changes additons on the Tms or modding the TS barrells for the TM s?

I don't think so Freaky. To get the A model cylinder ports to match the early TS/TM cases requires quite a lot of welding, grinding and shaping. TM250's go well and have what I consider a nice spread of power but they are heavy and this is their major stumbling block.

Agreed Doc. This is not remotely for a pre75 project or even VMX. You couldn't hide the use of the 76 barrell. You only have to look at the 76 barrel to see that the casting for the longer rear studs cannot be removed/camourflaged cos that's precisely where the tunnels for the extra transfers go.

I believe the common TS250 barrel is the one to use as you can get more flow thro the unbridged ex port

HAve a TS 250 barrell here i held back for the TM bike, but never understood what changes needed to be made to update it as "held out" to be better than a TM stocker.

Any one got pics or diagrams to enlighten on this.

I got what i consider a Fast TM barell on there Now , but interested in setting up the early TS one i have and doing a head to head to see if there is anything in it on the track, not just Dyno or talk.

anyone ?
