CR250M
« on: September 02, 2009, 10:38:16 pm »
Found a Cr 250 today, dont know much about it other then these are its numbers, no idea of year, front brake dont look right though as its a full width hub on 4 bolt clamp fork.

tank is silver with a orange stripe ( which i thought was MT or XL) its twin shock yada yada yada, anyone interested and what sort or price ?

Probally worth it for the engine ( turn over ok and was running) and rear wheel, tank is good, rest is just average or below.

Cr250 ME - 2000501

had an up pipe but im not sure what on this bike is original.    that web site is a bit pissy , the numbers are arse up.

Im sure the tank is steel with a alloy screw cap, frame may have been black but now is that orange colour, maybe its a 76 ? still the front end look wrong, both front and rear brakes had these strange almost flimsy hollow rod looking brake stays.

That's NOT a Honda front end on it then!

Sounds like a '75 CR250m1 going by those numbers, with a different front brake. They had an alloy tank with a red stripe, up pipe and a black frame and also had a full width front hub and 4 bolts clamping the front axle. Does it run now?

yep front wheel was full width  and the forks have four bolts on the axle clamp under nearth ( looked very pre 70 tech to me)

tank was silver orange stripe but looked steel not alloy ( except the screw on capwas alloy for sure)  frame was red, but may have been painted at some time, no side plastics, has seat thought.  Motor was running before parked years back, i can kick it through so the motor should be fine ( no binding)

Probally say its worth whatever the motor is worth ? and i have no idea on that.... offers ?
