TS100 TF100
« on: August 29, 2009, 02:30:29 pm »
Hi,
I picked up a little TF100x in good condition but needing a bottom end rebuild as part of a job lot. It has really nice period Suzuki indicators and original levers. Thats all I wanted. Anyway, the kids really like it and reckon it would make a good recovery bike out at the property where we ride for when they run out of fuel etc. Sooooo... I hate to admit but i'm going to have a crack at getting the old girl going.
Like I've got the time!

Has any one got a complete crank ready to just put in. I'm not getting carried away with bearing and seals just Get It Going. I can get a rod kit for about $60 but that would mean an extra $160 including labor to get the crank assembled and that would be just silly to spend that much on it.

The rod kit is the same as TM, RM 100 125 but not sure about the rest.

Thanks, Chris

TS125/DS125/TF125 and TS100/DS100/TF100 all use the same crank if that's any help.

Where are you Chris? I should have a crank or three , but don't be frightened to put a rough idea where you are maybe, sort of northern NSW or southern WA  thing.  Price ? basically FA. Cheers Tim754
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

shouldnt cost $160 to fit a rod kit and true the crank. I send mine to www.iwt.com.au and Ian Williams does them for about the $30-$40 mark. His prices are on his website.
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

That guys prices are great and has some great workshop services.
$160 includes buying the kit, post, labour as so on by the time its ready to drop in..
The guy I use here charges around the $70 - $80 to assemble, press and tune. Still, he has one of the best reputations in Canberra and he's the kind of guy who will spend another 20 minutes with me giving advice on how to re-assemble the engine so the value is certainly there.
