You may not be able to (legally) run CDI on these models so here's the next best thing  8) If I had a lazy $300 or so I'd be jumping on this item :'(

Doc, you can run any ignition you like on any bike you like so that TS kit ignition is legal. However at that price I'd be opting for a far more modern and efficient PVL setup. Still, it is a rare old piece of kit.

Firko I misread the rule book..It states for pre70 'TS250 1969 model , points ignition and appropriate engine cases.' I assumed it to mean it had to run the points ignition.  :-\ my mistake. Even so, I too feel it would be a nice period item to have cause the poor ol' TS250 would need more than a PVL ignition to make it half competitive  ;D I still lub 'em though..I have 3 now albeit one 69er  ::)

You can have a decent programable ignition for less than that Doc, points are still points. An RM 80 ignition has good curve in them to.

Ta Tim, I assumed wrong as per the norm, I wasn't planning on changing the ignition as it'd be pretty much flogging a dead horse but if I did have a 'hotty 69er' then an internal rotor cdi would be one of the first items on the cards..I'll leave it stock and flog it like it is and it'll probably still be plodding around when I'm long gone  :D this pic I took just yesterday..need a couple of levers, some sideplates then that'll do to ride..flat track maybe it's calling..it's bloody heavy!!!  :o
