The Darwin Motorcycle club ran a lapsprint event through an abandoned local pine forest this weekend.
Riders left at 1 minute intervals around a 6.5km track. The track ran on access roads and through the trees.
I took my TM125 out yesterday to run the prologue for todays event but broke my gearshift lever off on my timed lap. I had my XT500 with me so unloaded that and did my one timed lap.
We raced today and I managed to finish 19th out of 27 bikes.
It’s not a stunning result I know but every other bike out there was made this century and the vast majority of the competitors are about half my age.
But the biggest bonus was just how much fun it was!
Bring on the next one!
