Steven has gone to the Cairns Markets so I can tap away for a wee while..
We arrived to a dry looking land as our son is in the deep south of WA attending his muddy modern mx event.
The arvo was spent chatting and prep-ing sidecars which had made the treak from the deep south of Qld to race at this Natural paddock track.
The late arvo was spent dribbling(if girls can do that) over the bikes on display at the show and shine at Kamp Kanga carpark.
A few forum members took home trophys for bikes Ross's red Metisse, Darcy for a Bultaco ? Sorry if I have forgot anyone else. The peolpes choice award was won by a nicely
restored RM400.
Douglas 1925 won the oldest.
There was a bike to proove that they do still come out of boxes a YZ yammie 75 ish model -very new looking and never rided.
After tea and a few more beverages and old movies, I hit the sack with a head cold. And left the noisy nieghbours etc to it.
Sunday up at 5.30am got some yummie bacon and eggs, while looking at the sick and poorley from the night before...glad I wasnt them riding..
Sign on and riders breif-then race time ---the pre 75 and pee wees had the run for the morning, then the sidecars moderns and evo pre 78 had the arvo run.
The pre 75 could of run with the pre78 if they wished to stay..more chatting, this time with a lovely emerald Greeves owner who was Father Cavill whom is very proud of his sons and there racing abilities. And is like the lovely Don Newell and knows a barrel of vmx stuff
