Who is this and where?? I have this pic and I know nothing about it. Can anyone name the rider and where they are?
I am pretty sure the bike is a YZ250H

Me thinks it's a 125j as there is no header pipe to be seen, can't help you other wise.

Before we get hung up on the bike.... it is a YZ250J -1982 model but I know nothing else about the picture.
Are those gum trees in the back ground or is this in England or what?

I swear the bottom edge of the beer can must have hit the H key ;D ;D

Track looks familiar to me. it could be a Gippsland Victoria track (Maybe Ottrim near Korummburra) by the look of that sandy loamy soil, my next guess would be Briant Park, Smithton Tasmania (except the corner /spectator fence don't align to my memory).

as for rider and the era he would be a A grader with #27 on the plates, thats as good as i can go. he looks tall in the bike?

I also thought Smithton but the track doesn't work out with what "used" to be there - so not much help but probably one it isn't!

I can put all your minds to rest.
It is Colac in Victoria in 1982 and the rider is Trevor Brooks who later got into supercross track design I think.
The bike is definitely YZ250J. Green number plate, and it was during a round of the 'Western Centre' series. Tex would remember.
I know all this cos I took the shot................  ;D

I got given a couple of tests/shootouts on the 1980 125's and that pic came with the file. So I had no idea who or where it was, but it looked a bit Ozzie to me so I thought..... Post it in here and see what happens. I hope you guys enjoyed sorting it out. ;D
