evo bike, ready to race up to 250cc
« on: August 01, 2009, 06:12:57 pm »
on behalf of a non-computer literate mate....

has anyone got an evo 125 or 250 for sale, or is thinking of selling one?  Make or model isn't important, but it has to be pretty tidy and fairly well ready to go as he's not into the resto thing (not yet that is, I'll bring him to the dark side eventually)

Tires and other consumables aren't an issue, just no projects thanks.

SEQ preferred.

Cheers

I have a cr125 rz ('79) that will be for sale after the nat's. I pinched the shocks off it as the fox shocks shite themselves. Rebuilt motor, not perfect but pretty good.

As far as the budget goes, from what I've seen on ebay at least, a race ready 125 or 250 could go for between 2 and 4k depending on how nice it is or whether it's a sought after model. He's cool with that sort of price range.

Brad, is that the one that was on ebay a little while ago?, I thought it had sold?

BigK, I know he looked at an RM400 and liked it, but wasn't sure if a big bore two stroke might be a big jump to make after riding 4 stroke KTM's for the last 10 years. The shipping would be another factor I suppose.

I'll let him know what's out there and get back to you.

Thanks guys

How heavy is the guy? Will a 125 cart him around quick enough?

I have several YZ 125/250's in various stages (I know, no projects) but if he's in a hurry I cant help. The easiest one to finish off would be a YZ250F that would have fresh engine/gearbox, serviced OEM rear shock, serviced OEM front forks, new genuine front and rear guards (Not F model, G rear, J front) or Concourse replicas (Your choice)

Wouldn't have time till at least September school holidays.

Let me know
