Klub Kevlars Mike Jolley is about to unveil his new blender for the coming NZ Vintage race season. They're getting tricker.

I don't know about blenders but there's a guy up here with a flathead ford V8 driving the rotisary on his barbecue ;D

Mind you he also had a jet powered bike, then a jet powered Blitz truck.
Darwin does that to you

Is that what you bought the gem reed for Firko? Would does it go on that contraption?

Jeez Mark, the Kevlarians are going to be a force to reckoned with at the next Classic Dirt.  :D

Shiny framed bikes and exotic blenders are the Kevlar go in 08. Are you checking on my eBay activity Dave? The reed's for the 'DT1 from Hells' comeback sometime soon.

Peter Rowlands blender with its homemade alloy Maico tank and expansion chamber has set the standard

The cocktail  blender stakes for Classic Dirt are rising. The  Coca Cola themed blender shown below was built by Klub Kevlar's own Pete Rowlands for a mate of his who's a Coke collector. Note the hand spun Coke bottle shaped exhaust and vintage steel Coke can fuel tank. Although this little gem won't be at CD5, his Maico tanked gem (above) will be there along with a surprise bike or blender. Those who know Peter know of his brilliant workmanship (the legendary green Astro from VMX and the Yamaco amongst others) so it'll be good to see what he comes up with.

That's beautiful work Firko; I wish my late Father in Law could have seen it.
He was an old German fellow and an absolute Craftsman/perfectionist/Artisan particularly when it came to metal work - but not so flash on the timber.

His description of himself was:
"I can make a machine gun out of a jam tin; but give me a straight piece of wood and I'll stuff it up!"
He'd have loved your blenders!
"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"
